If you want to access Wikipedia
from somewhere that doesn't have internet connection, why not
download the entire online encyclopedia? Kiwix (www.kiwix.org) lets you
save a full copy, so you can view it in Windows, Mac OS X or Linux, or on an
Android device. That’s provided you've got enough space, because the whole English language version of the
site, which can be downloaded directly or using Bit Torrent, is a whopping
18.2GB. If that’s too large (which it probably will be for storing on a phone),
you can download a smaller Wikipedia collection instead. For example, there’s a
version containing 45,000 top articles, with thumbnails, which is a mere
3.74GB.
