If
you don't really use Facebook anymore, or have had enough of it, you can delete your account with the social network. The easiest way to deactivate facebook
account by selecting Settings, Security and clicking Deactivate your account.
This will hide all your Timeline information, such as friends, photos and
interests, and prevent people from contacting or searching for you, You can
reactivate your account at any time by logging back into the site.
To delete your facebook profile permanently (wiping
all trace for good) you’ll need to go to www.facebook.corn/help/delete_account.
Think long and hard before taking this action, because it’s irreversible.
Facebook
says it typically takes up to
one month for your account to be fully deleted, although some data may remain
in back-up copies and logs for 90 days.
