Misplacing
your phone or having it stolen can be catastrophic, because it’s likely contain personal
information, including contact details, photos and videos.
3CX Mobile Device Manager takes some of the worry away by letting you manage, secure
and track up to five Smartphone and tablets for free.
Sign up for an account and
activate it, then download the 3CX Mobile Device Manager to your phone or
tablet. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you’ll need to obtain and configure
an Apple certificate, but full instructions are provided. Once you've installed
the app on your device, launch it and enter your account name.
The app displays what you can do
with the device manager. including locking the
screen, remotely erasing all data,
changing the screen unlock password, setting password rules. monitoring
screen-unlock attempts and disabling the camera. If you’re happy to proceed,
tap Activate.
Log in on your phone or tablet, then go to bit.ly/mdmadmin336 in your PC’s browser. Your device will be listed under Pending Approval. Select it and click the Approve button, Should your device get lost or stolen, return to this page to locate it.

Click devices. Your phone will be
listed at the top of the screen, along with its status. A green circle shows
the device is on and coroneted. The map view section below shows the phone’s
location.
You
can zoom in and out, and switch to a different type of map.
Click the phone on the map to get
the exact address and other details, such as current battery life. Select the
phone in the list and you’ll be able to uninstall its apps, view its location
history
and
call history, and take remote control.
If that doesn’t do the trick, you might need
to take more drastic action. You can send a message to the phone, lock or
unlock the device or remotely wipe it. If you no longer need to manage the
device, you can remove the app from it by clicking Uninstall Client.
