To see Earth as astronauts
do from the International Space Station (ISS), have a look at more than 650
photos taken this summer during ISS expeditions 40 and 41. Created by Dave
MacLean from Canada’s Centre of Geographic Sciences, the worldwide map shows photos
that astronauts included in tweets.
Check the panel on the left to see
which crew member took the photo German Alex Gerst (American Reid
Wiseman (@Astro_Reici),
or Russian cosmonauts Maksim Surayev and Oleg Artemyev (@OlegMKS),
who captured the Isles Of Scilly (see image, left).
The map also includes videos and photos
shot by the public (click the yellow pins), and the current position of the
ISS.
You can see photos taken during
the past six ISS missions by clicking the top-left Details tab, then scrolling
