See New Photos Taken from The International Space Station

To see Earth as astronauts do from the International Space Station (ISS), have a look at more than 650 photos taken this summer during ISS expeditions 40 and 41. Created by Dave MacLean from Canada’s Centre of Geographic Sciences, the worldwide map shows photos that astronauts included in tweets.

Check the panel on the left to see which crew member took the photo  German Alex Gerst (American Reid Wiseman (@Astro_Reici), or Russian cosmonauts Maksim Surayev and Oleg Artemyev (@OlegMKS), who captured the Isles Of Scilly (see image, left).

The map also includes videos and photos shot by the public (click the yellow pins), and the current position of the ISS.

You can see photos taken during the past six ISS missions by clicking the top-left Details tab, then scrolling down and clicking the relevant link. Bit.ly/iss353
